Project Description:
The primary intention of this Algerian project is to establish a pool facility that acts as a window on the city.

On a plot bordered by the city on one side and an administrative building on the other, a landscaped entrance space provides a transition from an intense urban environment to tranquility. Rather than a standard closed structure, the volume containing the pool is conceived as a piece of continuously folded paper with transparent planes that visually connect the facility to the city. Stadium seating lifts to create an entrance, granting a panoramic view from the garden, to the pool and beyond. A traditional ventilation system and latticework light openings from the old hammam add to the pool’s serene atmosphere.
