Ibrahim Berberi

Ibrahim Berberi joined 109 architectes in 2003, and has been a driving force behind the firm’s regional business development ever since. With a background in design and project management, he also oversees the execution of high-profile projects including the new Université Saint-Joseph Campus in Beirut. The Université Saint-Joseph Campus was distinct in its intricacy. Highly specialized medical and teaching consultants came from Europe to provide their expertise, while structural and electro-mechanical consultants worked closely with the design team. Ibrahim acted as senior architect and manager on the project, and saw it through to completion as site supervisor.
From 1992-2000, Ibrahim was a senior architect at Dagher Architects, where he worked primarily on large-scale projects. Collaborating with Valode and Pistre (France) and Robert Adams and Associates (England), he worked on the IMAX Cinema Complex in Beirut District Center and International Hotel respectively. Working as a development consultant at Société Générale Bank from 2000-2003 offered Ibrahim a new, business-oriented perspective that benefits both the firm and its clients.
Ibrahim holds a Post-MBA Certificate from McGill University, Canada (2005), an MBA from ESCP-EAP, Paris and Beirut (1999), and a master's degree in Architecture from ALBA, Beirut (1993). He also attended two postgraduate programs – Planning and Building Sustainable Campuses and The Sustainable House: Designing Truly Green Homes – at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design.
